The exclusive charmonium production process 
is investigated for the planned 
experiment with the PANDA detector at GSI/FAIR. The measured exclusive cross section of this reaction was reported first by the E760 and E835 collaborations at Fermilab, in the energy range (3525 MeV) of charmonium state h
c
production. The recent measurements of the charmonium decay widths reported by the CLEO and BES collaborations allow one to make constraints on model assumptions.
