Abstract

A simple nondiagrammatic evaluation of the nondecoupling effect of heavy fermions on the Veltman ρ parameter is presented in detail. This calculation is based on the path integral approach, the electroweak chiral Lagrangian formalism, and the Schwinger proper time method.
