Abstract
Corrections to the exact heavy-quark symmetry results are expected to come from the inverse powers of the heavy-quark mass. We show, by an explicit calculation using the quark model, that the breaking of the spin symmetry is suppressed by other kinematic effects even when the quark masses are not heavy.
