Abstract
The most probable value of the Fermi momentum (pf) has been suggested in the framework of the statistical model and its dependence on the ratio of the CKM matrix elements $\vert V_{ub} /V_{cb}\vert$ has been investigated. It has been suggested that the aforesaid ratio should be considerably enhanced compared to the existing estimates so as to reproduce reasonable values of the Fermi momentum, pf.
