We have investigated the effects of the family of a non-universal Z′ model on the Λ
b
→Λρ
0, pK
∗− and pρ
− decays. This model includes the interactions between fermions and the Z′ boson, with the contributions of flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNCs) mediated by the Z′ boson, and we find that the branching ratio for Λ
b
→Λρ
0 decay is significantly enhanced from its corresponding standard model (SM) value. It reaches up to the level; the currently running experiments could make observations of this decay process. For the Λ
b
→pK
∗− and Λ
b

− decays, their branching ratios are also sensitive to the new physics (NP) weak phases.
