The parton model provides a relatively explicit and transparent technique for the description of high energy particle interactions. Thus, cross sections of two processes, which may have non-trivial astrophysical implications, are calculated by using the parton language. The first one is inclusive on-shell W + boson production in the ν e γ reaction. The second one is deep inelastic neutrino–photon scattering.
