Charm and beauty tomography of the sQGP

Abstract

Heavy quark production and attenuation provide unique tomographic probes of QCD matter produced at ultrarelativistic heavy ion experiments. In these proceedings we study the suppression pattern of open charm and beauty in Au + Au collisions at RHIC energies based on the DGLV formalism of radiative energy loss.
