Diffractive production of vector mesons at HERA

Abstract

An extended study of vector meson production has been performed by the ZEUS collaboration over a large kinematical phase space. Precision data test various QCD based predictions at high energies in a region that maps the transition between soft and hard dynamics. This report covers recent results on exclusive ρ and J/ψ and proton dissociative J/ψ photoproduction at high |t|.
