Particle identification with the LHCb experiment

Abstract

The status of the design and construction of the LHCb detector components associated with particle identification is presented in relation to the current re-optimisation of the overall experiment. The methods used to perform particle identification are briefly described and the overall performance is discussed with reference to example decay channels.
