Abstract
Compressible bag model is formulated on the basis of lagrangian field theory. A specific application is done in conjunction with $\sigma$-$\omega$ model. The results are similar to Chin-Walecka model and almost reproduce our previous results. The effective nucleon mass does not become so small owing to the compressibility, in contrast to Chin-Walecka model.
